Children’s books about love – not only for Valentine’s day

Everybody needs to be shown that he is loved, not only on Valentine’s day. But this special day is a great opportunity to take a break from the busy week, cuddle up with your child and read one of the lovely books that tell stories about love, acceptance, and understanding.

Here are some wonderful books that quickly will become your and your child’s favorites:

A little spot of love by Diane Albert

A lovely book that teaches children about love. The little pink spot guides them by showing how to develop love, consideration and compassion and grow their own love spot.

Our wonderful you by Kealy Connor Lonning

Wonderful book with amazing illustrations about the deep love that parents have for their child. It follows a baby growing up, through the toddler, childhood, and teen years, graduation, and beyond.

This book has a beautiful message about encouraging self-like, self-love and acceptance. It shows children that it is wonderful to love yourself for who you are and to embrace the quirks.

One heart by Tara Drouin

A book about love and acceptance, peace and unity. You can also follow this wonderful story together with a song on Youtube.

Love by Emma Dodd

A sweet little story about a little rabbit and her parent as they spend a glorious sunny day together in the meadow. Wonderful message that a parent’s love is always the best love of all.

Love makes a family by Sophie Beer

This wonderful book shows that most important in each family’s life is the love the family members share. It describes different ways of showing love from baking a cake, reading one more story to getting up early.

My love for you will carry you through by Andi Cann
